Our name is not a figment of our imagination. It is the key to our identity. It connects the musical structure that organizes our wines with the historical responsibility we bear in this special place.

1. La Suite | The Dramaturgy

In Baroque music, a suite is not merely a collection of pieces, but a carefully considered sequence. Prelude, Allemande, Sarabande, Gigue – each movement has its own character, its own tempo, and its own mood. But only in their interplay do they create the harmonious whole of the work.

That's exactly how we understand our winery. We don't just make wine, we compose characters. Each plot is a voice, each wine a movement in our suite. Sometimes light and dance-like, sometimes deep and stately – all together they form the "Suite aux Conseillans" .

2. La Suite | The continuation of an era

In French, "la suite" also means "the sequel" or "the continuation." We chose this name because we are taking on a tremendous legacy.

Our winery, Domaine aux Conseillans, was the workplace of Jean Ribéreau-Gayon , the father of modern oenology. Here, research was conducted, here, wine history was written. We see ourselves as "la suite" —as the direct continuation of this tradition.

3. La Suite | The next step

For us, preserving tradition doesn't mean worshipping the ashes, but passing on the flame. In this sense, LaSuite is also the continuation of Bordeaux's own story – into a new era.

We call it New Bordeaux . An era that is more open, more accessible, and more environmentally conscious. We are continuing the story of the appellation by reinterpreting it.

Our name evokes music, our symbol tranquility. The fermata is the musical symbol for pausing and prolonging the moment. It reminds us to give wine the time it needs to develop depth.

Aux Conseillans | The historic ground

While "LaSuite" describes our philosophy, "Aux Conseillans" anchors us in reality. It is not an invention, but historical geography.

Our terroir is already recorded as "Aux Conseillans" on the famous Cassini maps (18th century) under Napoleon. This lieu-dit (named place) has stood for winemaking for centuries. We use this name on the label out of respect for the soil beneath our feet.
