Climate & Character

At LaSuite aux Conseillans, every wine has a purpose – like the movements of a musical suite. We don't follow the classic Bordeaux hierarchy, but rather the concept of Burgundian 'climats'.

Each plot, each aspect, is allowed to develop its own unique expression. In this way, diversity arises not from quantity, but from attention.

Each of our wines possesses a clearly recognizable, cross-vintage character and follows its own movement, embedded in the overall composition of the winery.

We work on a small area and consciously in small quantities. From several clearly distinguishable terroirs, wines are created that are not standardized but precisely crafted.

This way of working is more reminiscent of the thinking in Burgundy's Climats than of the classic Bordeaux logic of first and second wines: each parcel, each exposition, sometimes even each barrel is allowed to develop its own expression. Thus, diversity arises not from quantity, but from attention.

As a boutique winery, we press each cuvée with great care and work ecologically - with the clear goal of regenerative agriculture. We intervene as little as possible in a unifying way and give our wines time to find their character.

That is why we only put them on sale when they are ready to drink. Not every wine is available at all times; some remain, others appear later or only in limited numbers.

This attitude shapes our entire range. Our wines are born from patience, precision and trust in the place. They are the expression of a way of working that prioritizes depth over speed - and quality over availability.

White wines

Caprice

Feuerstein & Frische – a rebel of Bordeaux

♫ Igor Stravinsky | Capriccio | 3rd movement
Collection Caprice

The Winemaker's Mood: An absolute rarity from Alvarinho.
In music, a caprice is a rule-breaking piece full of spirit and spontaneity. This is exactly what this wine is for Bordeaux. As a radical innovation, we are making a single-varietal Alvarinho from sandy soil here – completely untypical for the region.
A wine that is very reminiscent of a mineral St. Aubin or Puligny-Montrachet on the nose and therefore defies categorization.

Louré

Louré

Complex & mature – a great white wine to pair with food

♫ | Loure
Collection La Loure

The bourrée, a Baroque dance characterized by its measured, solemn character and emphasized lines, represents serious grace and noble expression – qualities that also define this wine. In both the vineyard and the cellar, the pursuit of balance was paramount.

This Sauvignon Blanc is vinified in a fuller, gastronomic style, with a ripe, multifaceted fruit profile that combines depth and expression. The long maturation in oval clay amphorae allows for natural yeast movement over many months and imparts to the wine an enveloping, precisely structured texture of remarkable tranquility and long aging potential.

The long, harmonious finish makes La Loure a wine that connects time and food – whether with fish in sauce, poultry, or fine cheeses. A wine that not only accompanies but reveals new facets with every glass.

Rose

Prélude

The opening in rosé – clear & precise

♫ Johanna Summer | Improvisation Prelude Ravel
Collection Prélude

The Overture: A Rosé full of character and saline minerality.
Our Prelude is more than just a rosé – it's the first movement of our Suite, setting the tone. Unlike typical Bordeaux rosés, we've opted for 100% Malbec here. The result is not a trivial summer wine, but a structured, salmon-colored rosé with a true personality that combines playful lightness with seriousness.

Red wines

Gigue

Movement & freshness – vividly composed

♫ Robert Schumann | Gigue | Op. 32
Collection Gigue

The gigue usually concludes a suite – lively & uplifting. With us, the Gigue opens the collection of great red wines.

The Gigue presents itself with juicy cherry fruit, violets, and a hint of white pepper. Aging in amphora and minimal wood use preserve freshness and accessibility.

Sarabande

Depth & Gravity – the heart of the suite

♫ Claude Debussy | Sarabande | For the piano
Collection Sarabande

Slow, dignified, of quiet complexity – that's how a Sarabande sounds, that's how this wine tastes.

This cuvée is the heart of our winery and consists each year of all the red grape varieties from our estate. Thanks to Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec, it unfolds flavors of dark berries, cocoa, and graphite, underpinned by earthy notes of Cabernet Franc.

Typically 18 months in mostly used barriques lend depth without heaviness. A multi-layered red wine that invites reflection and gains complexity over years.

Allemande

Structure & posture – calm, clear, long

♫ W.A. Mozart | Allemande | Suite KV 399
Collection Allemande

The Allemande stands at the beginning of the suite: a calm, orderly movement, dignified and imbued with inner tension. It is a movement of particular gravitas, demanding concentration, time, and the right measure – in the vineyard as well as in the cellar. This wine unfolds in precisely the same way. It is the most concentrated expression of what our terroir and our experience can produce – precise, structured, and designed for longevity.

Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc define its backbone, complemented by a touch of Merlot, which adds depth and balance. Blackcurrant, graphite, and subtle spices characterize the aromatic profile, supported by dense, ripe tannins. The aging process follows the wine, not the other way around, fostering power and length without heaviness. Only in years when everything aligns does this wine find its place in the suite. A grand Bordeaux, not loud, but resolute.
