Like its musical namesake, our Caprice was born from a creative whim – yet every detail of its vinification is meticulously crafted. Made from 100% Alvarinho grapes planted in 2016 on a small patch of sand at the edge of the forest, it ferments slowly in a glass demijohn and then matures gently on its fine lees.

On the palate, the Caprice surprises with an atypical richness for Alvarinho: salty minerality meets creamy texture, playful fruit meets cool precision. This interplay makes every tasting a joyful yet profound experience – just like a musical caprice, combining virtuoso lightness with masterful discipline.

Year description

Year description, possibly dynamic 2024 (white): A very wet winter and spring with an early, unusually heavy infestation of powdery mildew; persistent dampness characterized the season. Flowering and fruit set suffered in some cases (Coulure/Millerandage), September was cool and wet – overall the smallest harvest since 1991. Nevertheless, the dry white wines often present themselves as aromatic, vibrant and fresh, and rather light in alcohol.

Delivery and shipping

We generally ship orders on Mondays . During the warmer months, we monitor the temperature along the route; if there is a risk of heat stress, we pause shipping and inform you of the next available date – ensuring your wine arrives at the right time. In a hurry? Please select "Express Shipping" at checkout: We will then ship on the next business day , at the risk of temperature fluctuations caused by the customer . Club members receive their deliveries once or twice a year , depending on their subscription plan. Each shipment is announced in advance via email and confirmed by the shipping provider.
