Our team

Of course, great wine is teamwork, what else?

From the vine to the glass, quality is created where craftsmanship, experience, and attitude work together – like voices in a suite. Our team combines agronomic precision, quiet care in the cellar, clear processes, and a cultural attitude where wine and music listen to each other.

This is how the calm and depth you find in our wines are created.

Marc Ruhland – Owner & Winery Management

Profile.
Formerly co-founder of All-In-Group GmbH, Marc brings entrepreneurial spirit, process clarity, and digital excellence to winemaking. His vision: scaling without losing identity. This attitude shapes LaSuite – from precise annual planning to refining the individual wine characters. Marc directs the transformation of the historic estate into a coherent brand world where aesthetics, content, and customer experience seamlessly intertwine.

Responsibilities.

  • Strategy, brand architecture & portfolio management
  • Team leadership & lived quality culture
  • Global partner network & business development

Motto: A great experience emerges when vision and detail resonate in harmony.

Bruno Jammy-Fonbeney – Vineyard Manager

Profile. Grounded in craftsmanship, with a strong agricultural background: Bruno combines gentle soil cultivation, canopy management, and biodiversity with modern monitoring. The goal is vital vines, deep roots, and grapes with natural intensity – the foundation for elegant wines.

Responsibilities.

  • Pruning & cycle planning, canopy & water balance
  • Measured plant protection, promotion of beneficial insects
  • Harvest logistics & grape quality in the vineyard

Motto: The rhythm of the year dictates the tempo of our quality.

Stéphane Apelbaum – Winemaker (Direction Œnologique)

Profile. A precise stylist with a feel for finesse and balance. Thinks from the perspective of taste: grape ripeness instead of alcohol content, structure instead of effects, assemblage as composition. Bi-annual tasting cycles with an internal panel and external oenologists ensure drinkability and continuity.

Responsibilities.

  • Harvest and ripeness decisions, white & red & rosé vinification
  • Barrel & tank management, assemblage
  • Sensory quality assurance & maturation testing

Motto: Like a suite – lead the movements clearly, in the end everything must resonate.

Mario Crespo – Finance & Administration

Profile. Structured, forward-thinking, service-oriented: Mario ensures that numbers, processes, and supply chains stay in sync – from procurement to customs/export, from price lists to club accounting. Well-planned operations give the wine the necessary peace and quiet.

Responsibilities.

  • Budget & Controlling, Purchasing & Supplier Management
  • Compliance (e.g., Organic/HVE), Export Formalities
  • Club and Shop Processes, Invoicing

Motto: Good organization is the quiet accompaniment to great wines.

Jean Commet auf Chateau LaSuite

Jean Commet –

Vineyard & Cellar

Profile.
The quiet pacemaker. Jean lays the foundation for quality outdoors through pruning and organic protection. In the cellar, he seamlessly continues this meticulous approach: He is not only the guardian of hygiene but also performs the daily extraction work – pumping over, bâtonnage, and racking – with the same artisanal precision as he maintains our machinery.

Responsibilities.

  • Pruning, soil cultivation, and organic vine protection
  • Cellar work: Pumping over, bâtonnage, racking & hygiene
  • Maintenance and upkeep of harvesting and cellar machinery

Motto: Pure notes arise from daily precision.

Dursun Uregin auf Chateau LaSuite

Dursun Uregin –

Animals, Forest, Green Spaces & Construction Projects

Profile. LaSuite's "set designer". Dursun takes care of the ecological balance away from the vines: he maintains the forest, park, and animals, creating a vibrant habitat. At the same time, he secures the substance of the estate. Whether it's maintaining historical buildings or new construction projects – Dursun finds the right solution for every craftsmanship challenge.

Responsibilities.

  • Maintaining biodiversity: upkeep of forests, parks, and green spaces
  • Caring for animals and ecological compensation areas
  • Implementing construction projects and maintaining buildings

Motto: A living ecosystem is the resonance chamber for quality.

Yohan Marty –

Basement & Technology (Chai)

Profile. A practitioner with a refined sense: Yohan translates the winemaker's philosophy into daily decisions – reading fermentation curves, maintaining temperature ranges, remontage with feeling, barrel care with patience. Subtle interventions, meticulous work, clear results.

Responsibility.

  • Fermentation & Hygiene, Remontage/Pigeage
  • Tapping & clarification, barrel/tank management
  • Micro-oxygen & stability, technical audits

Guiding principle: Care in every movement – so that the wine can speak freely.

Mico Lechat –

Head of Snake Defense and Bowl Culture

Profile. After extensive travels around the world, Mico joined LaSuite at the tender age of four at his own request and has resided in our studio ever since – with a direct reporting line to the food bowl.
Musically, he prefers the Adagio (Brahms before sunrise), structures his power naps according to the 25-minute Pomodoro method, and is considered a certified expert in laser point tracking; cardboard bottles serve as mobile observation posts – and if a cork rolls anywhere, Mico is already on the job.

Responsibility.

  • Pest prevention & barrel protection: Audited field mouse-free conditions in the chai and around the wooden barrels.
  • Perimeter checks: Night and twilight rounds between vineyards and cellar.
  • Bowl culture & time tracking: Punctual feeding reminders
  • Security service “Rolling Cork”: Immediate deployment for rolling corks, ribbons and loose boxes.

Guiding principle: A quiet purr is the best noise-canceling.
