Market logic: a process, not a verdict
The standard
A price-borne coordination reads the price as information, not as a value judgement: it indicates scarcity and demand as soon as the two meet.
Criteria
- The price arises from the balance of supply and demand, not from an attribution
- It carries information about scarcity, not about intrinsic worth
- It changes as soon as supply or demand shifts
- It coordinates decisions without making them centrally
Distinction
Market logic ≠ market price: the logic is the mechanism, the price its result at a moment. Market logic ≠ esteem: what someone ascribes to a good enters demand, but is not the market itself. A price-borne coordination therefore describes a process, not a verdict.
