• Each intervention serves a named goal, not habit
• The ratio of leaf area to fruit weight stays decisive
• Exposure and ventilation of the fruit zone are considered together
• The timing follows the state of the vine, not the date

Distinction

Canopy work ≠ yield regulation: removing grapes steers the quantity, canopy work the state of the foliage. Canopy work ≠ harvest: it prepares ripeness, it does not gather it. A purposeful canopy management therefore remains a measure on the standing vine.
