The standard

A demonstrable sustainability names against what its claim is to be tested — in all three dimensions, not in the ecological one alone. Without this proof, the term remains a declaration of intent.

Criteria

• The claim is named in all three dimensions, not only ecologically
• It is fixed to verifiable evidence, not to intent
• It is directed at the long term, not at a single intervention

Distinction

Sustainability ≠ ecological resilience: resilience is a property of the system, sustainability the responsible handling of it. Sustainability ≠ certification: a procedural proof documents a process, a demonstrable sustainability the long-term effect.
