A measured yield follows what the site, the vine's age and the season can carry, not a fixed target figure. The limit is reasoned, not rounded.

Criteria

• The quantity follows the site's carrying capacity, not a target figure
• The limit serves ripeness, not the prestige of a low number
• The timing of the intervention is reasoned: pruning, thinning or green harvest
• Forgoing quantity is a choice with risk, not an automatism

Distinction

Yield regulation ≠ crop failure: one is chosen, the other suffered. Yield regulation ≠ quality guarantee: a small crop does not ripen better on its own. A measured yield creates the condition for ripeness, not ripeness itself.
