The journey: From tech entrepreneur to winemaker
The year 2023 marked the beginning of a new chapter for Marc Ruhland and Ellen Ruhland . Marc, together with his brother René, had previously built the All-in Group , transforming it from 2011 to 2023 into a leading company in the digital printing industry, now employing 450 people. This impressive entrepreneurial journey is currently being filmed for an Amazon documentary, which will be released in 2026.
While Marc remains connected to the group as an advisor, he and his wife Ellen consciously sought a way out of the hectic pace of Munich's big-city life. They wanted to take on a new challenge that combined their respective passions and allowed the next generation to grow up in a new language and culture.
The stage: Domaine aux Conseillans
With the purchase of Domaine aux Conseillans, they found the ideal foundation. The estate was known to connoisseurs for its historical heritage and its significance in the development of modern winemaking. Marc and Ellen recognized the potential here to reinterpret this history: the birth of Château LaSuite aux Conseillans .
Radical Innovation & Ecology
With entrepreneurial determination, they have repositioned the winery in recent years. Thanks to extensive investments, the estate has been brought up to the latest technological standards.
The Soul: Music & Culture
Château LaSuite aux Conseillans has since established itself as a fixture in the world of fine dining and among private wine collectors. Today, the estate is a place where wine and culture are inextricably linked. For pianist Ellen Ruhland , this isn't about elitist high culture, but rather accessibility: through the targeted support of young talent and open formats, the next generation is actively introduced to classical music. It's a project that combines the precision of entrepreneurship with a passion for art.
To create a “New Bordeaux” that does not preserve tradition but revitalizes it – through ecological responsibility, technological precision and cultural openness.
Our mission
We create wines that uncompromisingly reflect their origin. To achieve this, we consciously reduce our yields and focus on regenerative agriculture. At the same time, we open our château to promote classical music as a vibrant force and to inspire young people with wine and culture.
