Plot microclimate: the site, not the region
The standard
The plot-level climate measurement records temperature, sun and airflow at the site itself instead of deriving them from the macroclimate. Only then does a difference between two plots become provable.
Criteria
- The values come from the plot, not from the region
- Slope and exposure are factors of their own
- Night temperature and air movement count too
- The difference is measured, not asserted
Distinction
Microclimate ≠ macroclimate: one holds for the plot, the other for the region. The plot-level climate measurement separates what the site itself contributes from what the climate sets anyway.
