Systemic early marketing: market time before maturity

The standard

A maturity-led release model ties the point of sale to the verified state of the wine. It requires that the statement about drinking maturity was measured on the wine, not on the reputation of its origin.

Criteria

  • The state is tasted before it is named
  • Pricing and maturity statement are kept apart
  • A forecast is marked as a forecast
  • The moment of release is reasoned, not scheduled

Distinction

Systemic early marketing ≠ En primeur: the sales model is one instance of the mechanism, not its cause. Systemic early marketing ≠ statement of quality: it describes a timeline, not a condition. A maturity-led release model separates the two.
